Congratulations on making the 700 club!

Also I'd love more details on how you studied for quant, since I'm also weaker on that section than verbal.

Enjoy your summer and good luck with your apps!

Hi, Which type of questions do you find tough in quant? DS or Problem Solving? If its DS, then you can save some time by not finding the exact answer. You just need to check if you can get a unique answer. Suppose you have 2 equations and 2 variables, and you know that both equations are not the sa...

That doesn't sound right. I know someone with a 37Q and 40 Verbal. He got 600. I think it has something to do with the percentiles changing over time. It just depends on how the current batch of test takers is doing, I guess? The report says the 36Q is the 43rd percentile, the V40 is the 89th, and ...

I beat....2/3 of the GMAT

I got the official report this morning for my first attempt last Tuesday: 640 (Q36/V40), 6.0 AWA. I'm disappointed with this score but not surprised, since the GMAT Prep CAT I took two weeks before was almost exactly the same scaled score with the same overall score. I was hoping for a little higher...

Reporting another 6.0 with the use of this template. IIRC I did combine the last two paragraphs on at least one if not both of the essays, though.

Profile eval request

I'm not aiming for a tip-top school, I've got UT-Austin (McCombs) and Texas A&M (Mays) on my list so far. Generally, I'm looking to make a career-shift into a role that leverages business data to inform strategic/general management decisions. If you have any school suggestions based on this and ...

I normally lurk around here, but your post sounds so much like I have felt sometimes that I wanted to reply. Also, since you're aiming for a score close to what I just got today (640), maybe my advice will help. First, don't worry about the GMAT wrecking your ego, because it will. I believe the GMAT...

I plan to do this. IIRC McCombs allows you take 6 credits in outside colleges, if you want to take more you might have to make a special arrangement with them.

I'm having exactly the same problem you are. I can get problems right often enough, but it usually takes me too long to figure out the logic of the question and determine how to go about getting the answer. On practice CATs, this means I run out of time in the math section and gimp my quant score by...
