Does someone can help? I don't understand why we have to multiple x by 3 for the first quarter. I thought it would have been an addition instead. So that we would have 3+x for the first quarter. Now, I can clearly see that triangle 45-45-90 are such that 45 is opposite the shorter side. 45 is opposite the shorter side and 90 is opposite the hypotenuse.
