In the xy-plane, the point (-2, -3) is the center of a circle. The point (-2, 1) lies inside the circle and the point (4, -3) lies outside the circle. If the radius r of the circle is an integer, then r = A. 6 B. 5 C. 4 D. 3 E. 2 >There are 2 points- one is internal and the other is external >There...

Time available for reading instructions

I am just curious as to how much time is available to read the instructions for quant section(lets say if someone comes back after taking a break).
The reason I am asking this queston is because I want to divide my workpad into multiple sections in that time.I will appreciate all replies.

I dun think picking values is required here. Its simpler than that. sqrt [ -x|x| ] given x is negative |x| = -x -x*-x= x ^2 sqrt x^2 = -X or + x since its given X is negative the answer will be -X Picking values is not Required in any question, It is an alternative strategy  Also, you cannot w...

Re: factor and odd DS questions

Q1 is 12 a factor of the positive integer n ? 1) n is a factor of 36 2) 3 is a factor of n q1) Statement A : n is a factor of 36, that doesnot tell us if 12 is a factor of n, e.g. we can take 2 cases :- a) n could equal 2(since 2 is a factor of 36), 12 is not a factor of 2, hence is not a factor of...

Re: 4 DS questions to be solved

q. 1 if x and y are nonzero integers, is 18 a factor of xy^2? 1) x is a multiple of 54 2) y is a multiple of 6 A) x is a multiple of 54 which can be rewritten as 18*3, hence 18 is a factor of xy^2 SUFFICIENT B) since y=6, y^2=36, 18 is a factor of 36, SUFFICIENT Thus the answer is D i am sorry but ...
