22% of 2500 people are suffering from depression => 22*2500/100 = 550 people are suffering from depression. |2x + 3| > |7x - 2|

=> 2x + 3 > 7x-2 or x<1------ (1)

|2x + 3| > |7x - 2|

=> 2x-3< -(7x-2) or -1/9 <x.--- (2)

Again, -(2x-3) < (7x-2) which again gives -1/9<x.

Combining (1), (2) and (3), we get,

-1/9<x<1.

My answer is C!

B cannot be a conclusion because we do not know whether this is a one off case or something that is happening on a routine basis. So, B cannot be the conclusion. On the basis of what has been stated in the question stem, only C can be inferred to be correct. Since the vase is being pulverized, it wi...

See,

When Sam allows for a 16 m head start he and john reach at the same time, so Sam requires the 4 seconds to cover this additional 16m.

Hence, speed of Sam = 16/4 = 4 m/s.

Therefore, time taken by Sam to run the 100m race = 100/4 = 25 seconds.

Answer = B!

The triangle specified here is a right angled triangle (9^2 + 40^2 = 41^2).

Always remember that in a right triangle, the hypotenuse is the diameter of the circumcircle and the centre is exactly the mid point of the hypotenuse.

So, diameter here is 41 and so, radius = 41/2 = 20.5

A small trick here.

2. basically says that y=0. But it does not say anything about x right. If x were to be zero as well, then the equality would hold. So, we cannot say for sure based on 2 alone.

Using both the statements, we can say for sure that the equality will not hold, hence C is the answer.

First of all get this general fact clear: A+b=0=> a= -b (taking b to the other side of the equality sign ). And sign changes when you take any quantity to the other side of the equality sign. Now question 1. 0= x/2 + 9. Drawing analogy form above, here a= x/2 and b=9. So, taking b to the other side,...

Well the meaning of both the sentences are not the same. The first and correct sentence actually negates the material aspect and puts all the blame on lack of preparation of the students. Your sentence says that the material was also a cause but to a lesser degree than the lack of preparation. I hop...

IMO B is the correct answer. It says that recycle is restricted to 20% of the waste as this is the percentage that can meet raw material specification once recycled. So if 50% needs to be recycled then it is a problem because the additional 30% will not be used thereby defeating the purpose of recyc...

First of all, we are not talking of Lincoln and Douglass as individuals here but together. In other words, the clause in the middle (separated by commas) is including both men in black history. Hence, the correct word here won't be each but both. On the basis of this, A and D are eliminated. Now, we...
