How did u assumed that length of d arc is 2/3rd of circumference?

It is an equilateral triangle inscribed into a circle, so it divides the circumference of the circle into 3 equal parts. Arc ABC is 2/3 of the circumference.

#### number of (x,y) sets

###### Problem Solving

rewrite equations as:

x + (5/3)y=28
y has to be zero or a multiple of 3
therefore,
28,0; 23,3; 18,6; 13,9; 8,12; 3,15

Why didn't you consider possible negative values of x and y?

#### number of (x,y) sets

###### Problem Solving

it must be E because the number of integers that satisfy the equation is more than 6.

I solved the problem by plugging in numbers. Does anyone know easier and less time consuming way to solve it?

thanks

#### mm to meters cube - Conversion question

###### Problem Solving

Hi Mfaulkner, Here we need to find the volume in cubic meters. The answer to this question lies in the question itself: 0.001m=1mm. if we cube both sides of this equation, we will have: (0.001m)^3=(1mm)^3 =>>> 0.000000001m^3=1mm^3 Now we can replace mm^3 with m^3: 1,463,000 mm^3= 1463000*0.000000001...

#### Circles

###### Problem Solving

We need to find the approximate diameter, which is 2R.

Length of the arc ABC=2/3 of the length of circumference.

The length of circumference is measured as 2ПR

24=2/3*2ПR

2ПR=72/2=36

2R=36/3.14=~11
