Google for AWA template and stick to one. The problem with your essays is despite excellent content and writing skills, it doesn't have a good structure. Rest I think you don't need to worry about AWA - definitely a 5+

My suggestion is to download GMATPrep from www.mba.com and take it to get a realistic assessment of where you stand.

Hi, Sorry to hear your scores were not upto what you expected. Some random thoughts below: 1. Score variance is not too high. Essentially GMAT tests you and its hard to "beat" the system too much. I would say given the kind of stress you had at your job, and the time you spent overall - 36 is not as...

Do you have the paper edition for both? The reason I am saying is you are referring to stuff which is about 6 years old at least (OG 11th ed came out in 2005).

The problem with Brutal SC is that some of the questions do not give you an idea what is being tested. So you end up solving them, looking at the OA and getting thoroughly confused. Not at all an ideal way to study for the GMAT! My suggestion is to dump it - else you can just google for the answers ...

Hello, Given your profile, not taking the GMAT is NOT an option. Also don't pressurize yourself into taking it as soon as possible for R3. Not only is R3 cut throat for your profile but it also will mean you won't have time to prepare for the GMAT. My suggestion is you ensure you study well and take...

I agree with Rishi. Take a GMATPrep and spend time understanding why you scored low. There are typically 3 reasons. In you case it could be a combination of all 3! 1. Not knowing the underlying theory - this is basically knowing the basic rules of grammar, formulae in quant, question types in CR etc...

For a lower score and to get your concepts clear I suggest you do the Princeton Review book on GMAT. It explains the concepts and gives you easier problems to solve. That and understanding each question on OG (as someone has indicated) is more than sufficient. You don't need anything else for AWA. J...

I think you are wasting the 2 GMATPreps by waiting too long. Take it as soon as possible. And take it a couple of times (if you can get your hands on an "older" version of the software you will get fresh set of questions). That will be the real litmus test.

Sorry to be presumptuous but I think you are giving up too easily :) My suggestion is to sit with the Official Guide and go through the list of formula on the beginning of the book. Second start solving the questions starting from the 1st one (the questions are progressively harder). Once you are mi...

My suggestion is that you spend some time working on your "known" areas of improvement. Once you know which areas need tweaking - you should consider a personal tutor. Considering I am a personal tutor myself I don't want my clients to "waste" time learning stuff they can pick up from a book. A tuto...

Hi Sylvester, At the very outset, you have got a great score there! There is not need for you to take the test again. If something were to go wrong - it will look very poor on your profile. There are other factors on the application you can work on - such as the essays. You will *not* get rejected a...
