The ans is B when we simplify the question we get 2^(a-c) * 3^(b-d) / 5^e when we have prime factors other than 2 and 5 in the denominator we get non-terminating decimal. 1) a>c is in sufficient. If a>c or a<c it doesnt matter since we don't know about b and d. 2) if b>d there is no 3 in the denomin...

"like" is used to compare nouns. "as" is used to compare actions.

Here we are comparing how the nerve is stimulated by spicy food and how the nerve is stimulated by a raise in temperature.
Since we are comparing two actions, we use "as" and not "like".

work done = rate X time taken

for A alone the equation is:

1 = 1/12 X t1

for B and C together

1 = (1/15)+(1/18) X t2

question is what is the ratio of t1 and t2 which is 22/15. So D is the correct option.

"spicy foods" is plural so usage of "makes" is incorrect. Hence we can eliminate A,B,C
In C there is an ambiguity what "they" refers to.
In E "The reason that ....." and "because" is verbose.
Hence D is the correct answer.
