If 2^x - 2^(x-2) = 3(2^13), what is the value of x?

LHS = 2^x - 2^(x-2) = 2^x - 2^x *2^-2 = 2^x - 2^x /2^2 = 2^x - 2^x /2^2
= 2^x - 2^x /4 = (4*2^x - 2^x)/4

2^x(4-1) = 4*3(2^13)
2^x(3) = 4*3(2^13)
2^x = 4(2^13)
2^x = 2^15
x = 15
