As far as language is concerned, I am taking this as an opportunity to learn new languages and learn new cultures.So rather than as a roadblock I am quite eager about learning the language. :) Just a suggestion, unless your B school is exclusively teaching you language, you are better of learning i...

I think your CAT percentile is enough for Great Lakes. You might get better info on their placements in their websites though! Why don't you post this question on pagalguy? you'll get a better perspective from Indian angle!

Your score is awesome! Congratulations on your success! I am sure INSEAD is now only a good application away! :)

Your tips are pretty useful! Thanks a lot! :)

I think so. At the very least you get an A for effort - making an effort to learn and improve. Not everyone lives in a place where there is an actual class to go to. So online seems like a good compromise and certainly better than nothing. Yeah u r probably right. U think I could add a line in my r...

Do Online Courses add value? ( Coursera)

There are so many free online courses by top universities these days. They even give you a statement of accomplishment from the instructor. Will these help if you have a low GPA, even if slightly? I have a GPA of 3.15 and I cannot do anything about it. But, I have enrolled in a plenty of courses. I ...

How to research MBA Programs?

Is there a particular order in which you should assess a business school, or its just randomly reading all the articles and blogs available on the internet and determining which suits you the most? I would really appreciate a list of things which I must look into and see how it fits with my candidac...

Visiting B Schools

I live in India, and would like to plan a trip to the US to visit my dream schools- Harvard, Wharton, NYU Stern.

When would be a good time to do so?

Is it a bad idea to plan a visit some time in June-July?

I think you gave a very valuable thought today. You cannot do the same things and expect different results!

Congratulations on your success, and best wishes! :)

I will go for E.

A,B-> Subject Verb agreement issue.

C-> it uses ... LIKE..rise in temperature does. We should be looking for "as".

D-> talks about in mouth and tongue. Additional info!

E-> seems redundant, but best option out of all these!

@Jim

Thank you! That has me a lil less worried. So, I think I ll take the plunge by doing the questions in OG 13, and GMAT prep.

Do you know of any pattern like the frequency of IR questions is more as the difficulty level rises?

An opinion on the IR Section

I took the GMAT in 2011 when there was no IR. I had to attempt those questions in an experimental section, and I was sure I did badly.

I am planning to retake the test, and am nervous about this. Any pointers on how to prepare for this? Also, any good resources to prepare from?

Beat the TOEFL 117!

I never expected I would get such a high score in TOEFL! :) anyway, my biggest observation: TOEFL needs a lot of patience. Especially the reading section. I scored a 28. when doing the reading section be a little patient. take a 10 to 20 seconds break between the passages. The reading is not tough a...

Decent score 700! :) Should I retake?

This was my second attempt and i scored a 700 (Q-48, V-38). My first attempt was 640. I am pretty happy with my score! :) I just had 2 weeks to prepare. Some things that really helped me were: 1. The Beat The Gmat Forum and the daily math question. 2. Grockit.com- This is a really good site. Gives u...
