Essay word limits - Duke
I have a question regarding word limits, but not the typical question. I started with my Duke essays, and wrote what I thought to be decent first drafts, just hitting the two page limit. I then went on to some other esssays from other programs which had much shorter limits. Now that I come back to e...

I wouldn't be surprised. I really felt like I was killing it in the verbal section, and I often score in the 99% range. I'm so tempted to test again in January.....

Thanks :) The reading comp has always been my strongest section, although I definitely got a long difficult one towards the end. Curiously, on both attempts I got a scary easy reading comp passage in the middle. For me, I think I dabbled a little too long on some sentence correction questions, which...

Nevermind, I just found the answer to my question. Such a bummer, I would have had that 7 handle at the least. Anyway, for others who are curious, here is the link:

So frustrated!!!!!!! - 690 Q44 V41
I JUST finished my second attempt (were talking 30 minutes ago) and I raised my quant score a bit, which was the goal..... But the verbal I could kick myself for! I consistently get 44's and 45's on the verbal section in practice, and got a 42 on my last attempt, so I made myself go really slow to m...

I just took a gmat prep and got a 44 on my verbal section. Missed 4 questions. I have gotten a couple of 45's as well, missing 3 or 4 questions. I think it depends on the number of questions missed as well as the difficulty level. The MGMAT tests are good to gauge the level of the questions that you...

Elliot, Thanks for your quick reply. Apologies for the long post, but I figured I would provide a bit more information. I was hoping to avoid taking additional classes, as I would like to apply for 2011. Given that my major was Finance I have already taken Statistics, Macro and Micro Economics, as w...

Hello,
I am in the same boat you are, although with opposite quant/verbal breakdowns. I am planning on paralell tracking my applications with studying for a GMAT retake. Have you considered doing that? I am curious if others think its too much to do at once.
Best,
LJ

Profile Evaluation and framing question
Hello, I recently took the GMAT and am trying to decide where to apply and how to frame my application. I would also be interested in purchasing a few hours of consulting, but am unsure of whether a couple of hours would really make a difference or not. My profile is below: Female / Caucasian - 29 G...

Thanks for the quick response. That was indeed my first post, I have been an observer the forum for awhile, but never knew that you could search specific questions. A little slow on the uptake. Thanks for the tip!

Problem Solving Question from GMAT Prep test
Can someone please explain these questions? They are easy, but I am horrible at math and lost without the explanations. 1. For every positive even integer n, the function h(n) id defined to be the product of all even integers from 2 to n, inclusive. If p is the smallest prime factor of h(100)+1, the...
