Choice E also has a lack of parallel structure. Don't we need to have parallel elements on both sides of "or"? Choice E says "when they have" and then "or been". "Have" is present tense and is not parallel with "been".

Choices B, C, D, and E all say "Pope Innocent III had turned". The "had turned" does not seem to work with "until". For example, it would be strange to say: "he was saving for retirement until he had turned 65". A is the only choice without the "had"...

This is very good advice. I too have found that sentence correction isn't all that complicated when you just make one decision at a time. I do wear glasses and that is a great analogy, although sometimes it's hard to decide between lens five and six.

I would say that the answer is definitely "A". This is because "A" mentions a negative outcome that is not conclusively proven, which would refer to the nuclear disaster that the politician says is not proven conclusively by any of the difficulties, and therefore is not sufficien...

Verified Course Reviews Rock!

I found the “verified course reviews extremely helpful in selecting the course that I will use! They give reviews by the type of course – such as online, in person, weekend, intensive, private tutoring, etc. You know that the reviews are from actual students, since the GMAT prep company verif...

Good god! This may be the strangest posting I've ever read. Thanks for doing the self-experimentation to tell us what not to do. It reminds me of the story of Isaac Newton staring at the sun until he went temporarily blind. I will be sure and avoid sleeping pills on test day...and every other day fo...

Is there any good reason not to select five colleges to have your score sent to for free on test day? In other words, is there a good reason to wait? Won't the schools eventually get your scores anyway?

Number of experimental questions?

I just read a posting that said "some of us know that 11 out of the 41 questions are experimental and that one reading comp passage is guaranteed to be experimental". I know that there are experimental questions that do not count toward my score, but how does this person say that there are...

Wow, I don't think I really understood how important overall strategy is on each section. I was focused mostly on math concepts and problem types, but I see now that having a good strategy (especially for the quant section) is just as important. I'll make sure not to fall into the trap of trying to ...
