I took the GMAT last September and have immensely benefited from beatthegmat forums for any advice on courses, practice tests, questions, and GMAT experiences and it makes me sad that folks here might be using this forum to degrade businesses offering GMAT coaching. Thanks to the e-mail notification...

How is your application coming along. Have you heard back from any of the schools. I am also planning to apply to west coast. would love to get some pointers from you. I have decided to apply only to Arizona State (WP Carey), since I am no longer going for a full-time MBA. I landed with quite an in...

I agree Knewton is a great tool for practicing questions. I probably attempted about 100+ questions, mainly Quant to build stamina after exhausting OG questions. However, if you are looking to move form 570 to high 600's, you probably need to do more than just practice questions. For Quant, I strong...

Oct 8th gmatprep1 - 600(M49,V22) Oct 11th gmat prep2 - 700(M50,V35) What did you do in 3 days that your Verbal score went up from 22 to 35? Clearly, verbal is where the inconsistency is. I am wondering if GMAT Prep 2 that you took on Oct 11th was a retake and you got previously attempted questions? ...

On the positive note- I have a basic iunderstanding of the material and now I need to build upon it. These are some of the mistakes I did last time * did not memorize the material in SC and Quant - I though practice will make me learn things - I know that was a misatke Memorizing all the rules can b...

I'm sure you also scored a 6.0 on the essay without comprehending English. I got a 39 on my verbal and I am a native speaker. I'm not exactly sure how you can score a 39 with 4 months of English under your belt. Whatever. You are not alone.. join the club! That's what most people who read this post...

I disagree. It's a 'standardized' test. How will GMAC know if an Indian techie takes the test in the US? How will it control the number of Indian Techies joining US schools then? I agree that its harder for Indian males (since most of them have similar profile/background) to get in to Top US schools...

Your desire to go to school part-time will not be seen as odd if you have a compelling reason for doing so. However, I am not sure that I understand the reason you're giving. Most students opt for part-time so that they can continue to work in their current jobs. It usually takes between 3-5 years ...

Part-time program in an out of state school

Hi - I just got done with my GMAT, and I am looking to apply to UC-Berkeley and UCLA for part time MBA programs. I am currently an Arizona resident. My question is, what do ADCOMs think about out of state applicants who are interested in their part time programs? Why only part time programs for me? ...
