I know that MGMAT questions can be hard, but I want to know whether the question pools represent the most difficult questions (700+) or simply average questions.

UChicago vs. Kellogg
Which school do you think is better all around? Ignore specific strengths/weaknesses (Chicago for finance, Kellogg for GM, etc.) and look at the overall picture. Which school is King of Chicago?

Difficulty of Quant question pools
Stacey, What are the difficulty levels of the questions in the various quant question pools? Are the questions comparable to the MGMAT CAT quant questions? I find all quant prep other than MGMAT CATs too easy, and yet I was unable to score well (by my standards) on the quant section of the actual GM...

If you have a 750, 760, or 770 on the GMAT, would you retake it knowing that you can score a 780, 790, or 800? Distribute the right side:
xy+z = xy+xz
Cancel the xy from both sides:
z = xz
In order for this to be true, either x=1 (z=z) or z=0 (0=0).
Therefore, the answer is E.

On which diagnostics are you finishing quant 10 minutes in advance? I know some math geniuses (750+ scorers) who still run out of time on quant on the actual GMAT... I don't consider myself a math genius, but I also ran short on time on the quant GMAT... either you are just unbelievable at quant, or...

Thank you for the response. Despite extensive research, I really couldn't tell which schools favor younger candidates: now I understand why. I guess I'll visit Tuck to get more accurate picture.

It took me 2:30 to solve this. I wouldn't suggest guessing on problems that you are certain that you know how to solve. On the GMAT, I guessed on problems that I knew I would have difficulty with, and, even if I could eventually work out a solution, there was a high probability that I made a mistake...

I don't think there were too many DS questions... just a bunch of impossibly difficult PS questions (I had to randomly guess on at least 1/5 of the math). I wish there were more DS questions, as it is easier to "spot the trick" with DS questions, and thus they are easier to guess at withou...

x^n - x^(-n) = 0 This can be solved to: x^(2n) = 1 There are several possibilities: 1.) x is not equal to 1, n = 0 2.) x = 1, n can equal anything 3.) x = -1, n can equal anything Statement 1: x is an integer... it can still equal anything if n = 0. Not sufficient. Statement 2: n is not equal to 0.....
