sampg, spend a year reading issues of THE ECONOMIST or HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW, re-study all your verbal. Then after one year, polish up on some 700-800 level math problems to be sure.
Then re-take. Score high. Apply.

First off, that is a terrible recommendation - to recommend all those editions of OG. I believe 75% of the 13th edition's problems are identical to the 12th edition. There was an article about this. Second, do not take advice from a guy who scored a 380. Third, Kaplan and Princeton Review are not ge...

I am probably missing this thread late and you probably missed the deadline for Fall 2012 at Haas, but my suggestion would be to give it a shot with your applications and do your best. MBA adcoms look at the entire package. I got a 490 in my first GMAT, 510 on my second GMAT and thought I would get ...

Original Poster, if you are not in a rush, I would highly suggest taking quant classes and getting an A instead.
Also, look at other areas of your application and determine the overall strength.

Considering that the GMAT is only 25% of your application, I think you are in good shape.
Good luck with your applications.

Call me an idiot, but I went through the entire Manhattan GMAT course with all the books and online lectures, did 80% of the basic problems, and scored 490 on the actual test.
Prep courses don't guarantee anything.

Verbal score is ALWAYS important, because you use it so often (you used your verbal knowledge to type at that post!) But to answer your first question, you should re-take the GMAT during the perfect period where you feel ready without forgetting knowledge. So, depending on how much you study (and ho...

As a PSY BA myself, I was looking to do the same thing right after graduation- but as others have said, it's very competitive when you don't have any work experience. As in, you better be a top student (3.8GPA/740 GMAT) I got lucky and got into a money-making industry despite my degree- SEO. If you ...

Your ROI will be positive as long as you go to a ranked MBA school. For example, the Cal State MBAs are about $30,000. With a Cal State MBA, I would guess graduates would make an average of 7-10K more per year. So after three years, the ROI would be positive the ROI is really dependent on where you ...

Since you didn't mention what your work experience is, exactly, it's hard to make profile evaluation. The only online MBA programs that I think are good are ranked. I would even go to a CSU / Cal State MBA program over an unranked MBA program (even tho the cal states are ranked around 170th in the c...
