Thanks, das.ashmita I'm a bit convinced now. What really ticks me though is BO. It is a common side of both triangles. So doesn't that mean <BAO = <BCO ? Oh my I'm quite disappointed with myself that I don't get this. Thing is, I made <BAO and <BCO equal I was still able to determine that Statement ...

Hi, Gentlemen,

I'm at lost here. I need help.

It said in the statement that AB = OC

That means the following
Since OC = radius then
AB = BO (since BO = radius)
AB = OC (since OC = radius)

Now, doesn't that mean...
<BAO = <BOA = <OBC = <BCO ?

What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance

OA is E.

Try drawing.

Two points: one at 1,1 and another one at 3,2

You can draw infinite possibilities of line l and m that are parallel - any angle.

This alone makes the data insufficient. :)

Thanks a lot!! With this type of questions, I'd be more fitting to know the following algebraic translations: "OR" means multiplication "ADD" means addition Statement (1) presents an "OR" statement that's why it's insufficient. Statement (2) presents an "OR" ...

Number of diagonals in a polygon = [n(n-3)]/2 where n is the number of sides of the polgyon Now, we have 20 = [n(n-3)]/2 = n^2 - 3n - 40 = 0 or (n-8)(n+5) = 0 So we have two values of n: n = 8 and n = -5 Since there's no such thing as -5 sides of a polygon, we have the other value, which is n = 8 T...

How far upstream (against the current) does the riverboat transport passengers if the boat travels at its top speed the entire time, a...

I know that you've asked Aneesh but here's the answer. You definitely can. In fact, the way aneesh solved it in the second way is an application of the Binomial distribution. For p=1/2=0.5 being the probability of a head, the probability of a tail is 1-p=0.5 Then the terms below show 3C0 term for n...
