Point is not about the quantity of ques at one's disposal....some of the best known athletes train themselves at high altitude for a reason even though they will never encounter those conditions in the actual competition. Having gone through GMAT for the first time with a 34 verbal score, I can't sa...

I will condense my entire prep experience to structure this post in 2 parts - 1. How should one structure the prep including what material to s...

No recommendation...I surmise it varies from person to person. Bottom line is you should feel ready in all section before you tk practice tests....regd gap between tests - dont jump fm one test to another till you thoroughly analyze and understand your mistakes from the previous test Congratulations...

As for strategy, I would just say read, read and read....for GMAT specifically, read financial dailies, NY Times or Economist and something you dont read regularly like Scientific American (a bit daily - I admit I didn't do this but would have liked to) As of my speed....I have been quite comfortabl...

Nikhil....I have a different take on this - I found the verbal quite ok but I scored lower in verbal in the actual test than I did in practice tests where I found verbal tougher. My take - practice CR and RC from official LSAT tests....build stamina by solving one full section of CR and one of RC in...

MGMAT tests are helpful - can say so in hindsight; I did take a practice test of Veritas - would not recommend; took one of Princeton - quant easier than the actual you will see on test.....MGMAT looked like the best of the ones I encountered....your actual score should be very close to your average...

Hi Nikhil Here re my MGMAT scores... 700 710 670 730 710 720 I will say MGMAT may just be a close proxy to one's actual GMAT score. Hi Folks, I will begin by saying that I have a tinge of disappointment as I expected about 10-20 points more. While there have been some excellent debriefs from many, l...

730 (Q 50, V 38): my mistakes which one needs to avoid

Hi Folks, I will begin by saying that I have a tinge of disappointment as I expected about 10-20 points more. While there have been some excellent debriefs from many, let me share what I, in retrospect, consider my mistake both before and during the test. I had a morning 9 o'clock appointment and in...

Thanks....I guess your observation is right as I definitely observed the same in my case, which is similar to hbc's case. Thanks hbc....I surmise you mean that even the verbal was tougher and not simpler so would i be correct in infering from your post that MGMAT tests (more so their quant) is a tad tougher than the real thing? Yes, from my own experiences the MGMAT quant section is much harder than the real thing. I a...
