Statement 2... Imagine Rectangle. All angels are equal but one cannot have all 4 vertexes on a circle. Insuff. C . Agreed that statement 2 is insufficient. However, a rectangle may not be the right example. Even a rectangle is a cyclic quadrilateral - i.e., a circle can always be drawn touching the...

Hi Rahul, The rare questions on reflections usually involve only the x - axis, y - axis, x = y line and x = -y line. I doubt if reflections on any other line will be asked. Reflection of (a,b) on x-axis will be (a,-b) Reflection of (a,b) on y-axis will be (-a,b) Reflection of (a,b) on x=y will be (b...

Hi zaarathelab,

I am afraid there is no drastically different way than the one that you have mentioned ...

Perhaps just a small variation would be to calculate (1.08)^2 = 1 + .0064 + .16 = 1.1664 and go from there ...

Thanks.

1. If a, b, c are integers such that b > a, is b + c > a? (1) c > a (2) abc > c Experts, what is the shortest possible to solve the above? I took 4 minutes on the first one, especially because of the 2nd statement. The question boils down to finding out whether c > 0 or c <= 0. In my opinion, the b...

Hi,

I may not be the best person to pick from this basket as I have not gone through all of them.

However, I have gone through MGMAT CR and found it to be very useful in terms of techniques.

Thanks.

Hi,

The median is (b+c)/2.

Let us consider each of the options.

A. The median could be (a+c)/2 if a = b.

B. It is (b+c)/2

C. It could be (a+d)/2 if a=b and c=d

d. It could be (b+d)/2 if c=d

E. It cannot be (c+d)/2 as b can never be equal to d.

Is it E?

Thanks. Hope it helps.

Hi, I guess you have to move CR to 'Top Priority' over this week in order to stand a chance at a very good GMAT score. Some observations: 1. Try doing ONLY CR over the next two or three days. I suppose you must be pretty good at the other sections of GMAT. The human mind does a good job of coaxing y...
