GMAT penalizes you harshly for two things - Consecutive mistakes. Hi Sam! Tons of thanks for your reply. The above, do you know whether this is stated anywhere by GMAC, or whether anyone tested this with GMATPrep software to figure out how it works? Another thing that possibly can have skewed my CA...

MGMAT also has a pacing chart that you'd really benefit from. Guessing on the last 7-10 questions is going to kill your score. You are penalized more heavily for getting a string of questions wrong in a row, so you definitely need to practice your pacing. How much time are you spending per question...

How to Fix a stagnated GMAT score?

I took GMAT for the third time on Jun 27th and I scored a poor 480 (Q43, V15). I felt prepared focused and weren't anxious. My other two past scores have been 480 (Q45, V13), and 460(Q40, V15). There have been a year between each test occasion so the numbers might not be directly comparable. In the ...

Ok, you need to repeat the foundations. For instance go through the MGMAT quant books Then do tons of Quant problems. I mean you should target at 40-100 problems a day under paced conditions, and log all those you get wrong . You will have to reiterate your error log more than once to make sure you ...

If you are confident in your pacing, stamina, taking-CATs under real conditions, then go more for reviewing errors from CATs. Else I would practice my test taking.

Beat it!

It definitely is a very good score in my opinion. Well, you almost nailed the math, and the verbal is very good to for being a non native. However, you probably want to look at averages for the schools that you are interested in. And, even if you have a score less than the average, I suggest you app...

I'm not an expert in GMAT scoring algorithm. But I advise you to not skip any question types. My GUESS is that the algorithm will actually pay attention to areas/subjects/question types when scoring. This especially when going for a higher score.

Count and non-count nouns

How should I reason to figure out whether a noun is countable or not? I know that e.g. water is not countable, but should I think: Is this X possible to have many of next to each other in real life? One pencil, ... but I can also have many pencils, therefore countable? One furniture, many furniture...

You can allow someone to do something.

if you believe that you really have tried everything, and that your anxiety is much more extreme than normal, then maybe it is worth visiting a psychiatrist?

If you have plenty of time ahead, then mgmat quant books are usually considered sufficient. They are well-written. For verbal, hmm I don't really know here, but a good start would probably be: SC: MGMAT SC CR: Power prep CR RC: not found good material here, yet not read veritas rc which I will soon....

I don't follow you between these two steps, could you please clarify?
Looks to me that 1/x -> x (given in the statement), but +1->1/x, or what happens here?
