you should not be studying more than 5 hours in any one single day -- according to much research, this is the effective limit of the amount that normal adult human brains can learn in one day. I have to admit that this is something that I did not know before Ron. Though I put lots of hours and perh...

Amazing Job. I particularly admire three things
1) how you knew that you had to pay your dues and go for the long haul
2) how you did NOT give up
3) how you realized that your GMAT experience has been beneficial to you in the way you think and in other life aspects.
All the best

Ron, I know that I sound repetitive but I want to THANK YOU SO MUCH for your replies. everyone should take the test a second time, excepting only those people who achieve their stated goal score/range on the first try. remember that you're in competition with similar students, and that the schools w...

just received my official score report: 6.0 on the AWA! i put modest effort here since Ron said save the energy for Q and V. also, I called 1-800-717-GMAT to speak with a 'Program Coordinator', a sensible lady who created an incident in which a request for re-evaluation of scores has been made. my ...

Thanks all for the advice and the insight. I still have not decided whether I should take the GMAT for a second time, especially that I feel that I have now become immune to GMAT OG questions -- went through them twice in great details, MGMAT CAT -- took 11 exams, and the GMAT Prep test questions --...

I concede defeat..600(38Q,34V) after 9 months of preparation

I don't know where to start from. I certainly haven't envisioned myself putting up a post on this forum about such pathetic score; The truth of the matter, however, is that the 600 up there is my score. I'll explain why it is hard for me to "digest" what happened today. Background: Honours...

Experts! The issue of whether order matters is confusing me again. Ron, from what I understood in your previous posts, you said that it's impossible to solve consecutive probability questions without considering that order matters. I just wanted to clarify whether consecutive probability means "...

I don't really like the way the second statement is worded. The second statement reads "received half OF the two million dollars RECEIVED BY the partner who received the largest amount". This made it sound to me as though the partner who has received the largest sum has given 1/2 of what h...

Correct placement of prepositional phrases

I would like to know what the appropriate rules are on placing prepositional phrases. This question has triggered my quest to find out where I should be putting prepositional phrases. The nephew of Pliny the Elder wrote the only eyewitness account of the great eruption of Vesuvius in two letters to ...

Why do we not use If instead of whether? aren't we trying to say IF we cut their horns, THEN they may not come mmm I don't think we're saying that IF we cut their horns, then they may not come. We are saying we need to evaluate whether cutting their horns will affect the tourists decision or NOT? w...
