Please evaluate my candidacy

I have 2 dilemmas. I just took the GMAT and scored a 710--Q49, V37. However, on practice tests I was consistently scoring 730 or so. The Quant was 48-49 but the Verbal was 40. Is it worth retaking the test? The first time I took the test I scored a 680 with Q47 V36. Secondly, please evaluate my cand...

Help

So I just took the GMAT for the 2nd time and got a 710 Q49, V37. The 1st time I took it I received Q47 V36 and a 680. My question is this--on practice tests, I was consistently getting Q49 V40--which equates to a 730. I am pondering retaking the test to merely improve my Verbal score. Does anyone ou...

Knewton CATs

How realistic are the Knewton CATs? The reason that I ask is that I have taken the GMAT once before and received a score of 680. I am now enrolled in the Knewton class and on my 1st and 2nd CAT I received a score of 650 and 640, respectively. Obviously, this is not ideal and I am shooting for the el...

Chris, Thank you so much for your timely response. I think I am getting a little anxious as I usually do :). I truly want to improve my score so I am going about doing everything humanly possible to do as much. Do you have any further advice as to how best improve one's score with the Knewton class?

Knewton vs Manhattan GMAT Prep

I currently am in the Knewton online class. I have already taken the GMAT (received a 680) and am taking knewton in hopes of boosting my score. I am now in week 3 of Knewton class, and so far, I think the amount of homework has been very light and the questions very easy. Does anyone else agree? I r...

Homework

I am currently in the Knewton class. We have just finished week 2 of learning, and I am slightly confused about the homework for week 3. Could someone please advise what homework should be completed for week 3? The reason I ask is that I feel like I am missing something... It seems a little light on...

@Dana J--I think the problem is that if I go through the Manhattan GMAT books again, I may start drinking heavily---it's just quite boring, and I have little motivation I say. I guess the pluses to the class are that I do love the deadlines and the competition--it motivates me quite a bit. However, ...

That sounds like a good approach...

Have you thought about taking another class? There is the online class Knewton, which guarantees 50 points higher, or your money back.

Also the class only costs $600, as opposed to the $1500 for Manhattan.

Any idea if taking a class again is worth it/good idea?

Adding to that--are knewton or magoosh any good? Which one in your opinion has better/more accurate questions relating to the GMAT?

Thanks

Grockit

Best ways to study? I am using Grockit right now and I find some of the questions to be fairly easy--much easier than Manhattan GMAT. I took the Manhattan GMAT class and have all of the questions, but I am looking for a better way to motivate myself to study--taking the self timed Manhattan GMAT cla...

I have taken Manhattan GMAT and have all the Manhattan GMAT books.

I have found that I am making some relatively stupid mistakes on the test....I am still specifically having trouble in combinatorics, probability, critical reasoning, and reading comprehension.

Your help is most appreciated.

680....would like to improve

I got a 680 on the GMAT about 2 months ago. My hope is to take it again in mid April-late April. I'm shooting for the magic 700 mark.

Anyone have a good idea of a study plan. Open to any and all ideas

Thanks so much for your help
