One major value of getting your MBA whether it's in country X or Y is the people you'll meet and your network. That said, if you plan to work in Australia or do business there, getting an MBA in Australia would make sense. If you want to get a job in Europe for example, perhaps that wouldn't make as...

Business Week ranks EMBA programs. USC is #5, UCLA is #8. So either of those would be great. Pepperdine isn't ranked (yet).

Other EMBA programs in SoCal are:

UC Irvine
Loyola Marymount
Chapman
Cal State Long Beach

You may have a tougher time if you want to work outside the state in the future. I think it depends on what your goals are for the future. The reason why t...

I'd suggest checking out MBA programs in your area first. Many schools seem to offer "distance learning", they call it. And the best online programs usually have a residency requirement. It's a nice feature, I think. You get to meet your classmates and network. Check out Business Week's &q...

The average age for many of the full-time programs is 28-29 so you aren't far off. Last week, I visited the UCLA Anderson campus and met quite a few married students with kids! They've sort of built their own group of friends and provide support to each other. Also, there's usually a women's club/gr...

what the adcoms say about consultants...

Just last week, I was speaking to an admissions director at UCLA Anderson about the use of admissions consultants, if he could tell when someone uses one, if it'll reflect badly on applicants, etc. Obviously, admissions consultants are big business. But basically, he said something to the effect of ...
