At least 8 distinct digit means at least 8! possible passwords 12 seconds to try 1 password, hence minimum time needed = 8! x 12, whats the OA? I think the question here is trying to trick you by using the word "combination", whereas this is really a permutation problem, since the order m...

C is the only one i can negate and weaken the argument. i'm not in love with the answer though.
D looked good on the surface, but when you negate it, it does not weaken the assumption.
thoughts?

The question is asking for the main point and not the inference. IMO E. Because it explains the intended conclusion of the author. A is just a paraphrased version of a premise and hence cant be the main point of the passage. Let me know your thoughts.!! good point also. if it were an inference ( ot...

A says that the pollution is "approximately what is needed for optimal growth". But the argument states that nitrogen is A necessary nutrient for optimal plant growth. I feel answer A is exaggerated just enough to be incorrect. E on the other hand i do see as passing the fact test. We take...

Found it! Oa is a! E is wrong because it talks about new technologies being introduced in the future. The author makes no assumptions about this. The argument is about current technologies saving money in the future. A is correct because if the money and energy saving technology becomes too expensiv...

I was able to eliminate BCD because of 'claim about', but was stuck between A and E too. The explanation above makes sense, I couldnt see the timing difference either. same here. i read right past the "are". would have made the decision a lot faster ( and correct! ) if i had paid closer a...

i agree with A for the reasons the last two posters put. that's how i selected the answer.
i left A and E as contenders and negated both. to me, only answer A weakens the conclusion when negated. Answer E stays neutral so it can't be correct.
