Your salary will depend on many factors - your chosen function (marketing, operations, finance, etc.), where you're located, the size of the company, your past work experience and how it relates to the new position, etc. Your best estimate will come from your target schools, who publish starting sal...
I'm not at any of your target schools, but I'll say that here at Tepper, I know of at least one full-time MBA mom. We also have a Partners Club that could be a resource for moms, so I'd recommend looking into a similar club at your favorite schools.

Just wanted to add what I know here. A good friend and fellow part-time MBA student (Tepper) got pregnant and just had a beautiful baby girl a couple of months ago, and ended up taking a semester off school to deal with all of it. (This is her first child) I fear that she's going to drop out due to ...
Pardon me, pradeepsarathy , but if you don't mind me adding to beatvit 's response: Are you mobile with Capgemini? I'm not sure where you're currently located or if you can be transferred within your company to a location closer to these schools, but if you're planning to uproot and move yourself to...
Hello, I'm interested in doing a part time program and had a few questions. 1) How much time do you usually spend on MBA related things during the week? 2) How hard is it to maintain a good work/school/life balance while doing a part time program? 3) Do you feel like you are getting the same qualit...
Yupp- EssaySnark is right. I signed up for the interview. I will keep you guys posted. I have a new found respect for all MBA applicants. This process is tough. I have started grinding my teeth at night and I can see that I am constantly tired and depressed. Those are HUGE sacrifices considering I ...
Hi all! I'm Sara, first year part-time student (FlexTime) at Tepper. I'll try to answer some of your questions as best I can. mirantdon - Your profile is impressive. Definitely mention your interest in operations when applying. Tepper is a fantastic operations school. worldisflat84 - You asked about...
Thank you! I'm a native Yinzer, so I'll keep my full-time job in the Strip District and attend part time...and pray that I can juggle it all.dmateer25 wrote:
Are you already located in the Pittsburgh area or will you move and look for a job to work full time and attend part-time?
I'm in like Flynn! (whatever that actually means...)
I was just accepted into the part-time FlexTime program at Tepper. I'm thrilled! Though I'm a bit wary of committing the next three years to working full time then attending school part time, it will be worth it in the end.
I got dinged on Jan. 21. I suspect it was because my GMAT was lower than average (640) but also because Stern slipped in the rankings quite a bit, and I'm sure they're eager to raise their mean GMAT score to reclaim top-10 status. At least, that's what I like to think.
Did you post this question in another area? I answered a similar question in another thread, I guess. I met with Bailey at Rotman, and when I expressed dismay at my 610 GMAT score (now slightly higher after a third try), she said that a 610 won't put anyone in the reject pile automatically. It may n...
Well, it's a waitlist for me. Time to start praying like hell. Anyone else in the WL ? Oh no! I'm sorry to hear it. If it makes you feel any better, I've decided to apply to the part-time program instead of the full-time, so that's one less person to compete with (that's assuming that I'm a good co...
I interviewed with a Rotman (U of Toronto) adcom at an MBA fair, and her response to my 610 GMAT score was that I wouldn't be rejected because of it. I may not get scholarships, but it didn't reduce my chances of admission.
hmmm...this lady could have gone in just for the reason that she is a 'lady'...Cornell had started a program for the "women entrepreneurship program' which specifically encouraged more woman to apply to their MBA and especially from the minorities...so no exclamation there for me. Your post reeks o...
