Hi Money,

Yes, I did apply to Yale SOM for September 2010 admission. I am still waiting to hear back from them, albeit quite anxiously. I expect to hear some feedback in the next week or so, and when I do I'll post here as well.

Cheers

Didn't Waive the right to view recommendations HELP!

Hi All, Like a bonehead, I did not put much thought into my decision to waive my right to view the recommendations. I realizd when it was too late that it probably wasn't a smart move. I never intended to see the recs nor did I see them. I have already submitted applications to Yale, Cornell and wil...

Hey Guys,

Just got the 'Official Report'. I don't know how I did it, but managed to get 6 on the AWA's lol...

Not gloating or anything, just amazed because in the PR CAT's, the highest average I ever pulled was a 5.

Cheers

HI Lisa, Thought I'd touch base and give you a quick update: I scored a 700 (48Q 38V). Should I include any other schools that I have not yet considered? I'd like to only apply to 5, and as of now those are: NYU Cornell UCLA Schullich Rotman Should I throw in a BIG REACH school, such as: Stanford, W...

Hey piyushdabomb My personal strategy was to assess where my weaknesses were and attack. When I discovered that I was inherntely weak in Verbal, and only rusty in Quant, I knew I had to focus my attention on verbal. In order to finish strong in verbal, I spent the first 10 or so days working OG prob...

Alright, got my full nights rest (first time in a while). A few cautionary notes: - I do not recommend this for others. Everyone has to find the way that they learn best, my personal method is very fast paced and high velocity learning. Literally a crash course. - I sacrificed my social life for 1 m...

Beat the GMAT in 30 days!! 470->700!!

Hey everyone, wrote today and I did it! Beat the GMAT!

I'll debrief tomorrow, but my journey from 470->700 was not pretty, nor easy. I ended up with a 48q 38v.

It can be done!

Cheers

Update: Utterly exasperated... I've scored lower on 3 exams today than I did prior to studying. I've been scoring in the low 600 range, with quants below 40 which is absolutely mind boggling. All the tests I've taken are Princeton Review tests. Is this normal? I was scoring high 600's and low 700's ...

Hi Lisa, Thanks for the feedback- greatly appreciated. I expect to be in the low 700-mid 700 range (but then again, who doesn't!). One quick question: When asked in my essays about career goals and why an MBA is necessary, would I be better off to distinguish myself from the PE/IB group and mention ...

Excellent advice, thanks Papgust! I just purchsed an additional book for SC and am going to invest some hours into it. Hopefully this will help. Nothing is more frustrating than losing points to grammar.

Thanks for the insight guys. Just took another GMAT CAT: Scored a 47 q and a 35 v (660) Should I switch my focus entirely for the next few days (I write on Friday) to solely verbal, with light brushing up on quantitative? My sentance correction ability is awful, consistently with a 50%-60% hit rate ...
