I also hate the nature of this application and think that it is a complete rip off. You are telling me that they have an endless data bank of potential or retiered questions and all they can provide are two practice tests. If you do GMATPrep over and over, first you will see similar questions, but ...

Thanks Testluv! That's what I thought was a better option, and I was surprised to read PowerScore CR Bible telling the opposite. They dedicated a whole page as to why we should read the stimulus first and not the question stem (http://powerscore.com/newmedia/GMAT-Critical-Reasoning-Bible-Chapter-2.p...

What should I read first: Stimulus or Question Stem?
Hi everyone, I tried to do some searching on the forum but couldn't find my answer. I apologize if there is a thread that I missed. My question is that in CR, should I read the question stem first or the stimulus? I took Vertias prep and they suggested to read the question stem first, but now I am g...

I have taken Vertias. Their CR was really good and their quant is good too, but their SC and RC wasn't too good. I have just ordered Manhattan SC which everyone calls SC bibble. Another think I did not like about Vertias, like most people often point out, is that Vertias only really offers 5-Cats. T...

My 2 cents: In addition to visiting the SC section of this forum and reading the explanations please visit the GMAT PREP verbal section at http://www.manhattangmat.com/forums/gmat-prep-verbal-f31.html and read Ron Purewal's approach and explanation to SC questions. This helped me a lot during my pr...

You said you are running out of material. Go over it 3 times! 1. Do the questions 3 times each. 2. Keep and error log and see where you have problems and focus on that more 3. Get all the practice tests you can and do them a few times each You just gotta practice a lot and see where the problems are...

I agree with Eric, don't take it if you are not ready. However, if this is your very first try, you could take it to experience the settings - if you have spent $250 already and cannot get a refund. I knew I was not prepared when I first wrote it, but went ahead regardless to get the feeling of it. ...

Hi Eric, I was just scrolling through your flashcards. Thanks for sharing them. They seem excellent, I will dig deeper into them soon, but I had a quick question while I was scrolling. Your flash card regarding "Backsolving" stated: "Start with Choice ‘E’ and work back to ‘A’ ...

Best GMAT Prep Course Poll
There are many different companies offering GMAT prep. As a new student, instead of spending hours trying to find the best prep course, this thread will help students find what public thought was best one. Just like the "Best practice tests" thread, this thread is to find what people think...

Kaplan Advanced?
Hi everyone, I am new here and just getting to know things. I have been looking around for prep courses. I found Kaplan offers Advanced which requires a minimum score of 600, and then focuses on harder material. Has anyone taken it? Any insights? How is Kaplan compared to Manhattan? From some resear...
