this approach might be similar to the earlier one, assume M-Managers, M1- Average salary of managers, D- Directors,D1- Average salary of directors, we need to find out % of directors = D/(M+D) State1. M1 = MM1+DD1/(M+D) - 15,000 State2. D1 = MM1+DD1/(M+D) + 15000 Solving these 2, we will reach (D-M)...

2x+y = 12, or x = 6- y/2, that implies, even y will give integer x
mody<=12, or 12<=y<=12, or y ranges from -12,-10,-8,.....0,............12
its an AP, -12+(n-1)2 = 12, that implies, n = 13 and hence 13 pairs.

Wording is not clear, but if we assume second term = 5/2 timesx, and so on 1st term = 5/2 x 2nd = 5/2*5/2x ... 4th = (5/2)^3 x difference, 4th-2nd = 5/2x((5/2)^2-1) = x*5*21/8 Statement 1. x= 12m, now if x = 12 answer will be fraction and if x = 24 or more, then integer hence insufficient Statement ...

I guess ans-E. Statement1 sqx >y, or x>y^2, now choose y =1/2, 2, in first case y^2 <y, and in second case y^2>y and hence x can be > or < y hence insufficient Statement 2 x^3 > y, and now x >y^1/3 and choose, y=8, x > 2or y^1/3 but less than y, now choose y=0, x=0 Insufficient Combining 2 , X>y^2, ...
