Thank you all for your suggestion. I am trying to convince my dad that I am better off doing Master's in Information System rather than an MBA. I am still a fresh graduate, no work experience, and therefore even though I got accepted at an MBA program, I won't be able to relate well with the materia...

resource explaining what an MBA is?

I don't know whether this should be the right place to ask this question. I am currently having a difficult time explaining to my dad what an MBA is vs a master's program. I told him that MBA is well more suited for those people who wants a career change and those usually who have prior work experie...

My only suggestion to you is to re-read it several times, I think reading the book once isn't just enough. Try to grasp the concept really well and then you'll do good on those questions. It takes time and practice I believe

I'd say it's good if you can be discipline with your self for a self study. To be honest I've taken the kaplan live online classroom course and I feel like I just wasted 1k on it as it doesn't help me to become better... I am worth spending the money on materials and study on myself... I just it dep...

Depends on what you consider as top schools there, if you're talking about Harvard et al then maybe getting a 700+ would be better. A higher GMAT score will never hurt you, just make sure if you plan to re-take it make sure that you plan accordingly...

I would also appreciate if there was a special thread here dedicated to specialized master's program, as it's related to gmat as well... I hope Eric could consider this, after all we're all not here for MBA's.. and there's definitely a subtle difference between MBA's and specialized master's program...

Yes, I just finished doing the reading and listening from the official guide of the iBT TOEFL test and got all the reading and listening correct. How weird would you think the speaking was? I think 15 sec to prepare for a topic is a short time, what was it like during your experience?

Thank you for sharing this experience DanaJ. I was also going to take my TOEFL test next week as one of the university I applied requires me to get a TOEFL test although I have said to them I will be getting a degree 3.5 months from now, which would actually exempt me from taking the TOEFL. I have l...

I totally agree with you on that one... this is the mistake that happened to me on my first attempt at GMAT. I did not understand concepts clearly! I think the best strategy for the GMAT is concepts, concepts, and concepts... doesn't matter how many practice question you did correct..

For the SC I suggest you to get the MGMAT Sentence Correction guide, re-read it a few times until you get a really good grasp of it and practice
