interesecting sets formulas?

Hi,

I've seen multiple iterations of formulas to solve problems regarding intersecting sets.

What is the proper formula and in what situations would you apply this formula?
Are there variation for 2 sets vs 3 sets?

Thanks,

i would equate 2m=9-m 3m=9 m=3 to answer your other question, any negative number raised to an even power is positive and any positive number raised to even or odd power is also positive. (-2)^2m is the same as 2^2m because m is an integer and 2multiplied by m will always be even ensuring a positive...

a+b / 2 = m

a+b=2m

a= 3c+b / 2

substitute a into above equation

3c+b / 2 + 2b/2= 2m

= 3c+3b / 2 = 2m
= c+b=4m/3

therefore m has to be divisible by 3
only number among answer choices that contains factor of 3 is 12

total number from 101-350= 350-101+1=250

therefore, 100/250 =40%

step 1 -calculate area of sector as radius as 6 and chord ab is 6, then equilateral triangle with angle 60 area=60/360 *pi*6^2=6pi step 2-calculate area of triangle drop perpendicular from b to radius ao and create 30/60/90 triangle hypotenuse=radius=6 therefore ht =3rt3 area=1/2* 6* 3rt3=9rt3 step ...
