Job Opportunity Question
I posted this inquiry on the general section as well. I currently have been in corporate finance for about four years and have an opportunity to relocate to work for a startup founded by a family member. There's been a large change in my personal situation and pursuing this has been something I have...

Booth MBA and Startup Experience
I'm currently working in Corporate Finance and thinking of quitting and moving to the West Coast to work for a startup founded by a family member. I'm applying this Fall so I'd be only in that role for about six months by the time I apply. I noticed Booth has more large firm representation I am curi...

Quitting Job for Startup
I am thinking about quitting my current job with a good income / credentials (Fortune 50) to join a family startup elsewhere for a year before applying (Round 1 or 2) / starting to b-school for the Fall of 2011 (good opportunity for experience). Besides managing my current supervisor's recommendatio...

I think a Q46 is a great quant score. If you do well in verbal you should do well on the real test. Some people have said the GMATPrep is harder while some say it's easier or the same. It depends on who you ask. I know someone personally who did did much better on the real test (60 points higher).

Six countries in a certain region sent a total of 7 reps to an international congress, and no two countries sent the same number of reps. Of the six countries, if Country A sent the second greatest number of reps, did A send at least 10 reps?

GMAT NEXT SAT PART TWO
For some reason I can post replies to my other posts. Okay, so I got a Q37 and a V36 on my first GMATPrep. In the Quant breakdown, I missed like 8 of the first 10 questions and then only missed four of the remaining 27 which were probably like 500-600 level questions. I was very nervous as this was ...

QUANT REVIEW 112
For me, this was tough to solve under two minutes. The explanation in the OG is a bunch convoluted algebraic garbage that's over my head. Hopefully someone can dumb it down for me. For a certain set of n numbers, where n>1, is the average (arithmetic mean) equal to the median? (1) If no numbers in t...

I'm no math whiz either and I actually got most of them wrong in the diagnostic and was very baffled. After going through the Manhattan books and practicing a lot I get the majority of them, including the most difficult right. It is all learnable if you put the time in. I'm due to take the test in a...

Manhattan CAT's Updated
Okay, so I've been taking a number of CAT's the past few months and have been consistent around the 630 range with quant being higher lately. At first, I was so incredibly weak in the math section (very pleased at a Q45 in the quant section for someone like me though) although I did extremely well i...

I think the materials you use definitely have a huge impact. The math isn't inherently difficult per se (applying the logic of it is in the GMAT though) in my opinion but when I first started I absolutely sucked and had about a 50% hit rate. The Manhattan math books are absolutely awesome for strate...
