I did get into Booth and deferred to 2013 incoming class. Wharton was a reject and I am reapplying. After talking to various alumni and current students, I feel it is a toss up between these 2 schools. In case of Wharton all the alumni I was able to touch base with are in the same jobs(with a promot...

Admitted to Booth - Dilemma to join or not

I got an admit to Booth EMBA program. I applied to 2 schools and rejected by the other one(Wharton). I will be commuting from a distance and am wondering on the cost and ROI of this program. I heard the faculty is real good but there is less flexibility to select courses in this program. Any thought...

I am still considering Kelloggs, but for their January incoming class for EMBA, I think I have some more time for that. I got a reject from Wharton, could be due to less percentile from quant in GMAT, need to touch base with them on what could be the contributing factor for their decision. I have in...

You should make time for your family, irrespective of full time MBA. It is not rocket science or you are heading to outer space. It is worth while to get buy in from wife with respect to less time you may have because of course work in some days of the week. It is a sore excuse to say that you will ...

As a candidate who is female(I am not trying to be gender biased but based on facts), I would suggest you to research EMBA programs as well. You can usually graduate faster and schools like Wharton, Chicago booth and Kellogs with very high ranking in EMBA would love to have some one with your creden...

But if you are applying for EMBA track for these 2 schools you may not need GMAT(chicago waives it if you prove your analytical abilities thru job or a degree & MIT does not mandate it for EMBA admissions)

Contrary to Jon's suggestion, that is what I am hearing from current students of other schools as well. I think to rule out the demon and if you have time I would take it and cross the 700 barrier.

Once you are in school, I do not think you will have time and patience to retake GMAT.

Some schools do look at what you actually have written in the Essays(they do are sent along with the score), so it is detrimental to skip those essays. Its preferable to practice with all the sections and mindful that there is a break betweene AWA and the quant section. I would suggest you to simula...

If you have the patience to do it again, since it is quant that you are trying to raise I would suggest you to do it. I am in the same boat as you(45 in Quant 71% and 39 in verbal 87%; but 88% overall at 690). The monkey of getting very close to 700 is off my back and I will be taking it again to ra...

A score of 650 is nothing to sneeze at. Being from a country that might be under-represented at many big schools, I would strongly suggest you to also apply to at least another top tier school along with Booth. Try to put your best spin and put the best in your essays, I strongly feel you have a goo...

I am an EMBA applicant, with a 690 GMAT I finished application to Booth and Wharton and finishing up the app for Stanford Sloan program.

I am starting to feel a big void in my days(I do have full schedule job with my consulting gig but still). Are any body going thru these withdrawal symptoms??
