(sqrt(17+sqrt(264))) = sqrt(a)+sqrt(b)
squaring both sides
17+sqrt(2*2*6*11) = a+b+2*sqrt(a*b)
11+6+2*sqrt(11*6)=a+b+2*sqrt(a*b)
from equation above it's clear that a = 11 and b= 6
So a-b = 11-6 = 5
