Thanks for your reply. By "time off" do you mean if I took a break between first and second gmat attempt?
Yes I did. I gave my first GMAT in Nov, last year. Then I got really busy at work, and starting preparing again only in Feb end.

Hi Guys, I'm little confused regarding the modulus operator: In equations such as x|x| < 2^x. If x<0, why is the left side negative. Inequalities trick
If -5 <= x <= 3, then of the following is correct?
(A) |x| <= 3
(B) |x| <= 5
(C) |x - 2| <= 3
(D) |x - 1| <= 4
(E) |x +1| <= 4
Please explain how you arrived at the answer and if possible a strategy/trick to solve such problems.
