Percent problem - struggling with wording....
Hope you can help me explain the "wording" of the following problem: Steve uses a certain copy machine that reduces the image by 13%. What is the percent of the original if Steve reduces the original by another 13%? Based on the way I read the problem... I pick 100 and subtract 13% = 87. T...

Wow. Well, what can I say!? I studied for about a month, and took a prep course. I definetely need more time to prepare. Verbal Timinig Strategy
For the Verbal section of the GMAT, what is the best timing strategy? I am pretty quick with answering SC questions, but need more time for CR and RC. How do I keep track of my time, since the test will randomly select SC, CR and RC questions to answer? Any advice from GMAT veterans? Thanks in advan...

Scorereport & 20 day time frame
Hello, According to the GMAT official information, it takes 20 days until the score reports are sent to the Universities. Does this mean it takes exactly 20 days or within 20 days, meaning the scores may arrive earlier than 20 days? Is there any way to expedite this score report for an additional fee?

Thank you for posting this debrief and big congratulations on a great score!! Did you find the actual GMAT quant and verbal questions on the exam a lot tougher than what you experienced with the preparation materials, such as GMAT Prep software or the OG 12 book? How did you gain more speed for SC q...

Any feedback on Kaplan 800 and Powerscore CR Bible. Is Kaplan 800 worth it? Yes, it's worth it. If you master all the problems in Kaplan 800, you will score in the 650 range. It is not tailored for 700+ scorers despite what Kaplan might claim. But it is indeed a very useful book, it helped me a lot...

I am no expert on the GMAT, but it seems to me that you may have a timing issue with the test and also need advice on how to study better for it. Read the articles from gmatprepnow.com that are posted on this site or directly on the gmatprepnow.com website! I also find the OG companion from Jeff Sac...

I am currently studying for the GMAT and plan to apply for PhD programs this fall. If you want to get into a very good PhD program, the average GMAT score is 700. Why would you like to pursue a PhD? A PhD prepares you for a career in academia. Make sure that this is your goal. Also, I strongly recom...

Congratulations on this top GMAT score!! Did you find that the actual GMAT questions were very different/more difficult than the ones found in OG 12 or GMAT Prep tests? I've heard that the actual GMAT often is quite a bit harder than the GMAT questions in OG 12.... I am planning on taking the GMAT i...
