backsolving backsolving backsolving. Notice - backsolve from E. Works for you more frequently then backsolving from A :) You need to prime factorize numerator and denominator. If denominator will consist of 2's or 5's - it is 100% terminating decimal. E) 39/128=(13*3)/(13*2*2*2*2)==>(3/2*2*2*2) => t...

Oh my. Just figured it out. Forget all my previous solution. It is very similar to the sequence where we have only a1, that differs from other terms of sequence. i.e. all remaining will be a2=a1+x,a3=a2+x and so on. So, knowing that sequence is +2+1+5=+8. Then, you need just to backsolve from he ans...

Hey again mate. We have 362X215 1)3+6+2+X+2+1+5=4y insufficient, as x can be anything, so y can be anything. 2)if x differs from any of digits then it may be - 4,7,8,9, insufficient. 1+2) 19+x=4y, plug in all 4 numbers from the stmt 2. The right X is X, when added to 19, will be divisible by 4. Try ...

If my reasoning is right, you should find the logic of the sequence : a1=64 a2=66 a3=67 a4=64+8=72 A5=66+8=74 a6=67+8=75 A7=72+8=80 a8=74+8=82 a9=75+8=83 a10=80+8=88 a11=82+8=90 a12=83+8=91 look , it is +2+1+5, +2+1+5,+2+1+5. soo, if i am correct we are able to find any number of a sequence using fo...

Well, khm, i am blamed, just figured it out :D
I don't know why, but i thought that compounded and simple rates differ only when we count interest quaterly or semi-annually :)
Xcusemeplz, you are right. OA is B.
Compounded would be A
Simple is B.

ooops, you are right Ayushr. My school math is 7 years away so i made this silly mistake. indeed the radius must be 2. Then the answer to this particular problem is 0. If the circle equation looks like : x^2+y^2=16(radius 4), then there are 2 common roots. P.s. Then it is clear why the discriminant ...

From 1. We know that the power of 2 might be only one. But we don't know the powers of 3. Insufficient. stmt 2. 36=2*18=2*2*9=2*2*3*3. 24=2*12=2*2*6=2*2*2*3. 1,2,3,4,6,9,12,18,36. What from that list doesnt divide 24 ? it is 9,18 and 36. Stil N could be from 9,18 and 36. Combine both now. 9 doesn't ...

Hey there. The statement one tells us , that EG halves the the segment DF. Again, do not look at the picture as it is, abstract from it, you got just a triangle that might be iscoseles equilateral or none of these. From stmt 1 we only know that DF is halved. (Vertice E may be to the left and to the ...

I assume that you got the idea why 1 and 2 both alone are insufficient. Let's figure out why it is an equilateral triangle. You know that 2 sides of a triangle have exactly the same length. So, this triangle must be iscoseles. THEN, because this triangle is iscoseles, the angles A and C must be equa...
