Michale Schwartz Instructor for ManhattanGMAT in Bay Area

Hi all,

I am thinking of getting some private tutoring help from Michael in the Bay area. Any students who took his class or private lessons from him? I can really use some feedback or reviews.

Re: Haas - Why I Applied.

So I'm just going to talk about the big points of attraction for Haas - relative to my interests of course. I'd love to hear from others who have or will be applying and hear about their motivations. Haas has a very strong focus on innovation - it's marketed very clearly as such. Innovation and ent...

According to me out of these refers to the whole sentence preceding it.

I prefer picking numbers in this type of question. Make N=15, then 10 drink coffee and 5 don't. From those who drink coffee, 2/5 add cream ==> 4 add cream Now go through the answer options and plug in 15 to see were you get 4 as an answer. That would work too. My point was that the question stem wa...

Re: Give this a thought

niramay wrote:You took (2/5th fraction of 2/3rd of N) to get the no. of ppl who add cream to Regular Coffee, whereas the problem expected you to get the same as 2/5N (without multiplying it with 2/3N).
.Out of these 2/5 add cream- In that case what is "out of these? "

I hope I'm not derailing the OP's question, but here's an example of a remainder question that's messing me up. It's from OG, and even with their explanation, I can't understand why it's solved the way it is solved. I have a feeling I just need a lightbulb to go off, and this will go from being tou...
