My recommendation would be to study both simultaneously. Maybe to break it up, alternate days between verbal and math. When you're studying, do not just cover a topic and then move on from that topic. Every few days, go back and do problems from topics that you have already covered. For example, if ...

For me B and D seemed correct though D wins over B as in B advertising a feature does not mean showing how the technology works. Or is there any other way to eliminate B ? B is out of scope here. The prompt does not directly discuss the company's competitors and you would have to make too many leap...

The official guide is very useful. Most people use the official guide incorrectly. With the OG, you are attempting to learn the language and logic of the test. The difficulty doesn't really matter. You want to walk away from each problem understanding how the test maker will word and structure probl...

Hi Tarcid, How many hours per day do you have to study? From your post, it sounds like there are a few things going on. The first thing that jumped out to me is that you said that you get upset when you miss a problem. One thing that I would recommend is to really focus on not being afraid to get a ...

Hey iSwammi11, I actually think that you would be better served if you began with the Official Guide. They have diagnostic tests at the beginning of the book. Those tests will allow you to identify your weakest areas, so you know what areas will require more time. Additionally, you are just beginnin...

I took the Veritas course, but I did start in the 600s. I can say this though, the majority of the people in my class were in the 500s and everyone found the course helpful. I think the course will be helpful for you because the teachers are great and the books are phenomenal. I think the only peopl...

Why not apply to one or two schools round one with the current score, and also retake the test in a month or so and then apply to a couple of other schools with a higher score.

Osirus - Don't be too harsh on that GMAT for Dummies! If it is the 2006 edition, look at the acknowledgments page. I don't think its the 2006 version. I think its the fourth edition, not sure which year it is. The book wasn't bad, it was solid. It's a good starter book, but you have to get more mat...

Hey salmaan, thanks so much for doing this. I think I speak for everyone when I say we really appreciate it. Here's my question, if a student wants to pursue a sector in a region where Kelly doesn't have a lot of alumni, what would that student have to do to obtain an internship or job? I hear a lot...

I definitely feel like the LSAT material helped me improve my verbal score. On my real exam, I only got 3 reading comp passages, and the final two resembled the RC passages from the past LSATs more than they did OG passages (both in terms of length and in terms of difficulty of the questions). I thi...

I got a Q49 and I had to guess on at least 3 questions. Usually you can look at a question and know if you are going to struggle with it or not. On those, its probably best to cut your losses and just guess. The only thing I will say is make sure you get all of the easier questions right.

Since I have been there and I understand the disappointment that you feel, I won't say anything like congratulations. I remember getting annoyed every time someone congratulated me on a 680. I will say, recharge and regroup and get above 700 like you know you're capable of. Don't give up.
