Rajat-

I don't know of any schools in the U.S. who will grant someone who already has an MBA an opportunity to take a seat from others who don't have one.

It's unlikely that any reputable school will allow you to go back for a second MBA. They look at it like, if you didn't achieve your goals with the first one, why should they let you try again, when so many others are lined up to fill seats.

If you can improve your score, then retake. Being female will help, but it never hurts to have as high a GMAT as possible. I would retake.

H/S/W are always a stretch for anyone, but your healthcare achievements could resonate. You should get some attention from at least some of the schools on your list.

Raj-- with 12+ years of progressively responsible work experience, you should be well positioned for an eMBA program. EMBA programs are more forgiving of things like test scores, and some will not even require the GMAT at all. They will be looking mostly at what you bring to the table from your work...

If you can get a 750 on the GMAT and cast a compelling vision for why you need the MBA as well as what you are going to do with it, you should have a shot at your targets.

They may be biased against your age...you would have a better shot at eMBA programs. INSEAD tends to gravitate towards younger applicants with 3-5 years of WE.

Firstly, you should know that entrepreneurs can be somewhat risky for b-school applications, since they won't want you to work while doing school and being able to drop a company to go to school can communicate that it's not very successful. With only one year of work experience under your belt othe...

Abhi- you will need to check with individual programs about whether they will take the 3 year degree--most will not. As for your profile, it's good, but will be viewed as very "typical" of the Indian applicant pool, so standing out and differentiating yourself will be critical. I would say...

Wow--it's hard to find weaknesses in such a well rounded profile other than simply being in one of the most competitive application pools in the system. Being a prop trader carries much responsibility and trust, so I am sure you recos will be good too. Other than your stint as a student in CA, howev...

Any post college, professional work experience will count for b-school admissions purposes. Everything you will need for your Master's you will get in your chosen program. you will, of course, be wise to indicate how your work experience has prepared you to lead and to do well in your desired curric...

You would have a shot at Emory's one year MBA, but likely not competitive for their 2-year...you are too old and GMAT too low. These factors are not as important for one year program. You might also look at SMU--they have a new one year program. REally, the best one year programs are in Europe and A...
