Guys, I will go with D.

In one of the posts someone mentioned that gerund should always be preceeded by possessive and here's the link http://www.getitwriteonline.com/archive/022205.htm

So as per this C would have been correct if the stmt were Hand's or feet's having....

Any thoughts?

I agree with parallel chase, the subject is friends and hence the verb should be plural i.e. have.

I think above constructions are correct with the exception of one One of the + PLURAL NOUN + that/who/ + SINGULAR VERB The bold part should be Plural Verb. Here is simpler way to break it down. One of the X - The verb following this construction will be always singular because "One of the X&qu...

my two cents on this question: "so X that Y" and "so X as to be Y" are correct Idioms. Between A and C I chose C because in A though the IDIOM is correct as per me the sentence should be "were so impressed with Leonardo da Vinci that they ignored their own training and desig...

my approach is
since it's a parallelogram the length of line bet (m,n) and (4,4) is equal to length of line between (1,1) and A
so let A's coordinate be (x,y)
so x-1 = 4-m => x=4-m
y-1 = 4-n => y=4-n

5^x - 5^(x-3)
= 5^(x-3) (5^3 - 1) - take out common values
= 5^(x-3) (125-1)
=124*5^(x-3) = 124*5^y

so y = x-3

IMO: D

spawned and extended should be parallel

Now for the reasoning mentioned in the above posts, you will need it before extended to make the sentence clear and parallel
