The applications are going, to say the least. Very time consuming. The worst part is asking the recommenders to take so much time to fill out so many forms. I've had the opportunity to visit Emory and Georgetown and loved them both. Still have a few others on my list I want to check out. What I've g...

MGMAT
I would use Manhattan GMAT, though I've never tried Veritas. I started by studying with the OG and the Kaplan books. I took the test for the first time in December in 2007 and cancled my score. I felt that what I had been studying was completely different from the actual test. I started studying aga...

Duke MBA
I'm applying to the Workshop for Minority Applicants. On the site (http://www.fuqua.duke.edu/programs/duke_mba/daytime/apply_daytime/mba_workshop/) they say they invite 80 people. It doesn't say anything for the woman's thing though so it may be different. My reasoning is basically the same as yours...

Minority Recruiting Events
Hello All, During the application process, I've come accross certain programs schools offer for minority recruitment. You have to apply to these programs and they say they only accept X amount of applicants. Specifically, Michigan takes 80 and Duke takes 80 as well. Both applications state that acce...

Application Questions
So I'm in the middle of filling out my applications for various business schools and I have a few questions. Anything you call can tell me would be a great help. 1. Many of the essays have word LIMITS. How negatively will my essays be looked at if for example, mine is 575 words and the LIMIT is 750?...

One Month Study Plan
I think the best thing you could do is take one practice test per week. The same day you take your practice tests, review all the questions you got from that test. That way they're still fresh in your memory. I would recommend Manhattan GMAT practice exams. In between tests, go over what you feel ar...

Practice Tests
Hello all. I've been using this site in preparation for my GMAT and I have to say, it's been very helpful. Alas, the day has come. I take the GMAT tomorrow. I've been scoring relatively well on my practices tests (Manhattan GMAT), averaging around a 680/690. I took the practice test last week from m...
