Profile evaluation - importance of GMAT score query.

Hey Lisa, This is a prospective B-school applicant. I took GMAT recently and scored 720 with AWA score of modest 5.5 (80%ile). The GMAT score break up is Q (50/94%ile) and V (37/81%ile). The low verbal score has sent the alarm bells ringing. Like most Indians I fall in Indian/IT/Male category. I thi...

Now, if I give another GMAT and choose not to send the score to any school then those 5 schools will never come to know about my new GMAT score. However if I...

I will go with E, but if and was not included in the underlined portion, and whose families would have sounded more correct.
What is the OA?

A is wordy, B & D change meaning and E has problem with pronoun (his/her).
So C is the choice.

However I have a doubt. Which one of the following would be correct?

to get their symptoms treated and recognized.
of getting their symptoms treated and recognized.

Is 'chance of' always idiomatic?

The book is a noun and critiquing is a verb. Modifier mismatch. Also B, C and D lack parallelism. Now in E...it should have been 'critiquing....and envisioning of' to maintain parallelism. 'Critiquing...and his own envisioning of' doesn't maintain the parallelism as the former will make more sense. ...

B - 'what' is wrong, which aptly refers to recession - ruled out
C- insisted to come - ruled out
D- and rather, fearing - ruled out

a critique modifies the book "Essay on Heat and Light". Critiquing can't really be an apt modifier here.
