(E) is not wrong because of distorted meaning.

It is wrong because of usage of AS in the sentence.

Like is use to compare nouns etc whereas AS is use to compare action.

Since 'courage' is noun, hence, usage of AS in (E) is incorrect.

Re: Because...therefore construction

There has been a lot of debate to this question : 170. Beside this, Mohit, you forgot your own post about "ing" modifier. http://www.beatthegmat.com/ing-modifier-three-different-versions-in-og-t38943.html#162443 As far as I know that "ing" modifiers are always preceded by comma whereas both option (C) and (D) don't have any comma. S...

Simple present (sits) is always preferred to present continuous/ progressive tense (is sitting) IMO This is too simple a rule to apply....if u will see the OG explanations than 50% of the time this rule is broken... Hi Mohit, I don't think so. Any such example from OG would be appreciated. As far a...

A, B, C, D are wrong because of SVA error. Check these options have THEM/THEY and neither THEY or THEM agrees with either Frozen citrus or Grower.

So the only option left is (E)

I really dont see any issue with A even on the idiom front. Agreed that the right idiom is Prohibit x from y.. but there's nothing wrong in saying x be prohibited from y main focus is that you are prohibiting something "from" something... its just that when you use subjunctive, the form b...

"not X so much as Y " in A is still wrong, but " not so much x as Y " is correct

is that right. the idiom must be exactly like that
Hi Duongthang,

You are right with your reasoning. We cannot alter the IDIOM, at least, at GMATland.
