Hi xcel730, Based on what I hear, the verbal section really tripped you up. Of the two sections, Verbal is actually more important to your overall score. Reading comprehension is quite important--that usually is a bit more difficult to improve on. See if these videos help: http://www.gmatpill.com/pr...

Thanks! It seems like a pricey solution though; is there cheaper but equally efficient way? cheers Markoelkabir, Yes. If you can identify which specific sections you would like help with the most, you can specifically enroll in those pill sections. This may be a cost effective approach that you may...

Nice! Well, when some topics are harder for you, it's not necessarily harder for everyone. The way the GMAT categorizes HARD is when they make past users take the "experimental" questions and they categorize HARD as those questions a lot of test takers didn't get correct. So the fuzzy area...

I agree, if you can afford it, tutor is the way to go. Some tutors can change your way of thinking, which is what you need to break above the 700 base level.

Also, find out what specific verbal questions are pulling you down. Your quant seems pretty good from test to test.

Ashish, Are you sure you need to retake the GMAT with a 710? I'd only recommend retaking if your verbal/quant score is highly imbalanced. In order for that to be the case, I'm guessing you aced the quant complete, but had a few trip ups on verbal. Even if this is a case, you should reconsider where ...

Hi guys, this SC has started with "was".. shouldnt we maintain the tense all along. In option E the "-ing continous" is hurting some where in my tummy. I feel/fell for C. No--this is not a tense question. Besides, all the answer choices are using "was"--so there's no p...

hi stanfordstud, You cannot assume that a 700+ SAT score on each section will necessarily yield you with a 700+ GMAT overall score. The GMAT Verbal is actually more like SAT writing than it is of SAT Verbal. No fancy vocabulary is involved. If you are good with reasoning, grammar, sentence structure...

3-4 months seems to be about the average amount of time people dedicate to the GMAT. The problem with setting longer time periods is --realistically, people can't focus on something like the GMAT for such a long period of time. Most likely, the more "time" people spend--the less quality st...
