Tomorrow is the big day - at 12:15PM I will sit my exam. A big thank you to everyone on these boards, your help has been amazing!

I will debrief tomorrow evening.

Here is a nice little good luck Chinese proverb that my brother sent me.

Sorry, I just figured it out just after I pressed submit.

Here is my solution:
A * 1/X = 1/Y

A = (1/Y) / (1/X)

A = X / Y
D for me.

Not only is the idiom correct, but none of the other choices make logical sense in the sentence.

I read the explanations in the above link, but am still confused as to why the answer is not E.

The explanation states:

E: Had been. See, use had/had been when you actually need it.
This is not making sense. What does this explanation mean?

Thanks!

Thanks for the input, I have heard good things about that book. Unfortunately, I cannot get my hands on a copy.

I am more interested in learning how people study for this section of the exam than anything. Does anyone have a unique study strategy they would like to share with the community?

Careless/Simple/Stupid Mistakes

I have been making a lot of really careless mistakes lately, and I mean really careless. Things like 5 * 6 = 36 or just changing a number halfway through a problem by accident.

It would be great if people could share some of their methods for avoiding such elementary mistakes.

A1: (Pi)*(r^2)

A2: (Pi)*(1.2*r)^2 = (Pi)*(1.44)^2

Using the formula:

(X2 - X1) / X1 * 100%

The Pi's & r^2 cancel so:

= (1.44 - 1) / 1 * 100% = 44%
