Washington DC - MGMAT (3rd Edition), OG 12, Kaplan, etc.

I'm Selling a comprehensive set of GMAT books that are in great condition. I would prefer to sell the entire set together, but I would also sell the entire Manhattan GMAT set for $100 and all the Official Guide books for $40. As you can see, the entire set retails for $370, and I'm selling it for a ...

Thanks for all the kind words! I just got my AWA score back and I got a 6/6. I know the score doesn't count for much, but I'm still happy that it went well. Gives me a lot of confidence about my b-school essays.

indir0ver -- With regards to studying while working. I actually took a little bit of time off before the test date. I'm not sure it made much of a difference, but it kept me from going crazy. Thats not an option for everyone though. If not, try to give yourself a long period to study for this test. ...

Can you give me a score break down? Whats your Quant Score, and then give me a detailed break down of SC vs RC vs CR. The best way to do this is to take a GMAT Prep so you know where you stand on real questions. If you don't want to take the GMAT Prep yet, get your hands on some of the paper tests. ...

I don't think MGMAT is necessarily tougher, its just different. Some people might do MUCH better on MGMAT than the real thing. I think there are a few reasons for this which I'll address in a second. To answer the question you posed, I took two MGMAT's, and the results were pretty discouraging. 690 ...

Reached my target 770 (Q50, V47)

So I just got done with the GMAT today and I was pretty happy with my score. I wasn't "surprised" by the 770, but certainly relieved. I was also slightly surprised with the score breakdown. I would have thought Q50 and V47 would get me a 780, but I doubt those 10 points matter. Before I go...

Retrieving AWA essays in GMAT Prep

Is there a way to look at what you wrote in GMATPrep for the essay prompts? When you review your answers, it doesn't seem like you can take a look at your essays. In the future I will just type my essays in Word, but if anyone has experience retrieving their GMATPrep essays, please let me know what ...

I think you are on the right track. You have a very organized study plan, and it seems that you have been sticking to it well. I would encourage you to take GMAT Prep 1 sooner rather than later. With regards to making silly mistakes. The only way to really avoid that is to slow down a little. If you...

Sometimes being a non-native speaker is an advantage in SC. I'm a native speaker and its easy for me to make a lot of mistakes based on what "sounds right" At the same time, its an advantage for me at times. I agree that you shouldn't hold yourself to 2 minutes on SC questions in the begin...

It looks like your studying with Quant is slowly paying off. With regards to Quant, if you struggle on DS/PS equally, focus on developing a more indepth understanding of math concepts. The MGMAT books are pretty good in terms with material, but you need to do more practice problems. If you struggle ...

What are your score break downs? Q/V? Also, do you have break downs of your results using OG 11/OG 12?

OG 12 Diagnostic Test

I'm not sure if the OG 12 and OG 11 Diagnostic tests are the same or not, but I was wondering if other people had taken it, and how they felt about the difficulty level, and if there was anything they should read into their results? Its not really a diagnostic test for me, since I've been studying f...
