I sort figured it out , it doesn't matter how many children has both. We know 120 children that has to have fever or inflammation or both, of 20 has fever, the rest 100 will have only inflammation, we don't care if we have 100 people or 120 people have inflammation, we only care that we know 100 chi...

Got 720 Today, Q49 V40 and want to share my experience.

I just took it today and came back with a 720, a score I feel is good enough. I didn't study long, only 3 weeks, but I was studying full time, which is most of the time when I was awake. I took MGMAT free CAT on Monday, got 650, GMAT Prep test 1 on Wednesday, got 740, and GMAT Prep on Thursday got 7...

A is not suf, because it can 1 & 3 or 2 & 2. A and B together is Suf, because 2^2 - 2^2 = 0 while 3^2 - 1^2 = 8 Now I think B alone is suf as I cannot find any other two pos ints other than 3 and 1 that X^2-Y^2 = 8. But I am not sure. I would guess B on this one, but it could be C, I am not...

If the question ask you what conclusion to draw from it, this will indeed be out of scope, but as something to support the argument it's not a concern.

The question really asking you which one DOES NOT support the argument. And C is the only one, all other 4 support the argument, which is "counter some reasonable objection to the interpretation advanced above"

First step is to get number of student that take all three class. which is 100-(42+34+58-8-13-18) =5 Now out of 8 students who are science and law graduates and 18 students who are are commerce and science graduates there is 5 of them who took all three so they are counted twice. so 42 - (18 + 8 - 5...

Ian you are amazing! Thanks for the answer, I guess I will stick with plug for this type of question. I doubt I will able to do what you did in less than 5 mins, even if I know it.

A very common mistake on DS questions, especially under the time pressure of the test, is missing information provided in the question. p is an odd integer here, so only one of your two examples is applicable. Thanks a lot!! BTW how to do it with method other than plug in? I could see that for stat...

I am not sure, but I will try to answer it.

I think it's asking what's probability that the 3 item he picked, contains the two random chose item.

So it's (number of ways to pick 3 item that contain certain 2 items) /(10c3)

= 8 / (10!/(3!7!))

=8/120

=1/15

OA?

Got good socre in prectice tests, but feeling uncertain...

On Monday I got 650 in my MGMAT CAT1, in that one I took some extra time in quantitative section. Today I did GMAT Prep test 1, and scored 740 and I even had 9 mins remaining for quantitative section when I was done. The scores just look too good to me, I am going to take the real thing on Saturday,...
