MBS average for last year was 640 , so you can give it a try to MBS. If you have good work exp. and good GPA, then you might get admission there.

During the term of the certificate , he earns $ 18 more than he would if the interest were not compounded. now by looking at option 1 , what I get is that , if the interest were not compounded then the interest would have been SIMPLE INTEREST =principle*rate*time/100 so compound interest-simple i...

DS/ Q 18/PAGE 323/KAPLAN MATH WORKBOOK

For all integers n, n*=n(n-1). What is the value of x*?
(1) x*=x
(2) (x-1)*=x-2

answer choices are usual 1,2,3,4,5

My answer is 4 because I find x=2 and x*=2 in both cases
But Kaplan answer is 2, which I am not convinced with.

Please explain if someone can clarify?

if you have the brain to score that high in quantitative, with a little effort you can score a decent verbal score. nothing is impossible in this world.

I guess statement 1 is sufficient in itself because xy+5x is even , that means x has to be even for this statement to be true if x is even this statement will end up being an even number doesn't mattter if y is odd or even. statement 2 does not involve x so i guess there is no need to look into if s...

B=2G from statement 1
B=3R from statement 2
G/R=3/2 using both statements

SO the answer is C.
