A more practical question -- how do you find financing an HBS education? What is HBS financial aid like? How do you make money while there (or do people live off savings)? Obviously, once you graduate you'll have a great start, but do you feel that if you need it, HBS offers adequate financial aid?

Wow, it has been a while since I've looked at this thread, but I haven't thanked you guys. Thanks so much, soanky, brandonsun, Gmat09-5ALL, and beatthegmat. The HBS decision still doesn't feel real, but I am very excited. Good luck to all of you!

MGMAT offers them. However, I think there's little point to taking practice tests without time limits unless you will be given more time on the GMAT due to an approved LD.

Just wanted to update this thread that I was, in fact, accepted into HBS 2+2. Still dazed, but I know the BTG community helped a lot, both in GMATPrep and pre-application prep. Thanks, you guys!

I believe the board is 8x14 - bigger than a typical sheet of paper, but certainly manageable. It looked about legal-sized to me. You get five 8x14 pages in your booklet. You can put it on your lap or the table -- I had it resting against the table during my test. I don't think they care much where y...

You're right. You shouldn't make random guesses. But generally, nearly everyone is able to eliminate two answer choices (at least) from the SCs, usually by the 50 second mark. Choosing from the remaining three gives you a much better chance of getting it right if you really have no idea what the err...

1) Only two scores won't negatively impact your application - the vast majority of GMAT test takers take the test twice. Most universities will consider your highest score. 2) No one can tell you if 1 month is enough time to prepare. Jumping 100 points in a month is difficult, but it's been done bef...

Yes, of course the first ten questions matter, but they shouldn't matter to the detriment of later questions in the test. That is, don't spend 1/2 an hour on the first 10, and end up with 10 minutes left for the last ten. Doing that will (likely) hurt your score more than evenly pacing yourself thro...

Now as far as picking the easier questions for practice drill then I would say not really as I have taken the practice drill for more then 150 questions in OG and was able to get the hit rate mentioned above. Here I am assuming that in 150 questions there will be all kind of difficulty level questi...

Both my test centers (one on the east coast, one on the west) offered noise canceling headphones (not earplugs). The centers were pretty quiet anyway, but they kept my ears warm!
