Private tutor advice

Hi guys: I'm planning on taking the Gmat again, my previous 2 attemps have been 630 and 610. My verbal was 35 and 32 respecively and 41 on both exams. I'm looking to sign up for private tutoring to make another attempt in May. Now, which one should I choose? My main goal is to get anything around 65...

Update on this post: I just took the Free Knewton Gmat test. It was a good test, the level of the questions, both verbal and quant was pretty good. The scoring seemed fair too. I got a 670. Also, the explanations were very detailed and they had a section where they did a little lesson about what eac...

Thank you Bryant! I was actually thinking of buying those, even though I'm not quite sure what they are, but I've heard they are a good way to gauge your level.

Crappy Gmat Cat practice tests

Hello everybody, so I’m going for my third and last try on December and I’m running out of GMAT Cats to practice. The second time I took the GMAT my pacing was horrible; I only did 2 practice tests and I don’t believe that was enough. This time I’m trying to take a lot of practice tests and ...

To be frank, I concentrated more in studying Quant. I only studied verbal by doing the OG 11 & 12 and by learning from the explanations in the book. I haven’t studied from Kaplan or MGMAT books for verbal, but I will this time around. I consider myself good at sentence correction and I thought...

2nd time, same history 600's

I just got back from taking the GMAT for the second time. I got a 610, V33 Q42. Regardless to say, I’m very disappointed about my score. I took the first GMAT on April of this year and I scored exactly as I scored on my GMATPrep, 630, V35 and Q41. This time around I was scoring around 700-720 on t...

3)between -1/10 and 0
4)between 0 and 1/10

XY plane GMAT Prep

Hey guys, need a little help with the below, let me know what you think:

In the xy-plane, does the line in question y=3x+2 contain the point (r,s)?

(1) (3r+2-s)(4r+9-s)=0

(2) (4r-6-s)(3r+2-s)=0

Sorry if it was posted before, I couldn't find it. The answer is C. Thank you,

I stick with A only too. Because statement 2 says that "At least one of the homes was sold for more than 130K and less than 150K” so in this case, let’s say that all the first 8 houses were sold for 130K, which leaves 1,210,000 if you divide this by 7 (the remaining homes) you will get 172K. So...
