But ans (e) states : x = 1 "AND" z = 0 -- however the explaination given concludes x=1 "OR" z = 0 . Thus to satisfy equation z = xz both the conditions need not to satisfy however ans (e) implies that. I think the only condition that MUST be true is (a) i.e. x = 0 "AND"...

I fail to understand that with condition (a) how can we be sure that the parking ahs been for 6.1 hrs or 6.5 hrs or for 7.0 hrs. because the charge for the fraction of hr is also same as that of full hr. In that case condition (A) and ever (B) togethers also is not sufficient to conclusively say the...

I think you have quated statements (I) and (II) for Q No. - 13 in the section 18 of 1000DS. For questino no. - 6 the statements are
(1) x is 50 percent of y.
(2) 0.1x = 0.05y
which are independently sufficient to answer the question.
Hope it clarifies

I think n = 159 is the correct answer. Here is the analytical support. we are given the sum of even (remember EVEN) nos. between 1 and n (n being odd number) ; the sum is equal to 79*80. let's write the serise : 1, 2, 3 , 4, 5 ...... n-1, n (n is odd) -- total n terms if we take out only even nos. t...

Good question. The question askes - if we can find an number which is lesser than k and can devide k without remainder. Let us examine statement (2), it says that k belongs to [13!+2, 13!+13]. take k = 13! + 2 -- we are now to find a number (les than k) which can devide this without remainder clearl...

Rina, Heare are my thoughts, 1) there is no inconsistancy in saying (5 - x)^2 = (X - 5)^2 it is perfectly ok .. to be more clear assume a value of X say 3, you will have 5 - x = 5 - 3 = 2 and x - 5 = 3 - 5 = -2; now squar both the things ou will get (2^2) = ((-2)^2) = 4 2) -x * |x| > 0 means that x ...

I agree with Neo2000 that (2) is necessary and sufficient condiction to answer the quaestion. However stateembnt (1) can also provide sufficinet and necessary condiction to answer tha question because 5^(k-1) > 3000 means 5^k > 15000 > 1000, thus 5^k > 100. so the coreect answer to the quastion shou...

1000 CR : Terst - B (Q no. : 15)
Friend, here is the CR question from 1000 CR (TRest – B Q : 15) ---------------- In the effort to fire a Civil Service employee, his or her manager may have to spend up to $100,000 of tax money. Since Civil Service employees know how hard it is to fire them, they tend to loaf. This explains in large...
