As mentioned in the passage, that person’s political career has inarguably come to an end because he or she will never again be trusted by other members of the government.
Underlying assumption could be if the person is not trust worthy his career will come to an end.

only D and E seems close.
E - hyperkalemia results in tissue damage. It is true only when it is treated with CaCl. Passage do not say how many patients had tissue damage because it could have been found in research and CaCl was never used on patients.
SO we left with D only.

Re: What is the average (arithmetic mean) of \(x\) and \(y?\)
To find the arithmetic mean of x and y we need values of x and y
St1: gives us one equation with 2 variables.
Not sufficient
St2 Same as st1
Taking both statements together: We have two equations and two variables. enough to find the value of x and Y
Hence sufficient

A woman driving her car reaches her destination in 30 hours. If she reduces her speed
Problem Solving
Re: A woman driving her car reaches her destination in 30 hours. If she reduces her speed
While travelling with speed S, the car covers distance in 30 hours
So total distance covered: 30*S
Reduced speed = 14s/15. and the distance covered in 30 hours = 30*S-10
on solving Speed*time= distance, we get s=5

Problem Solving
Re: At a restaurant, all tips are added together to be split among the employees at the end of a shift...
Let total tip be x, 4 Waiters(W) earn \(\frac{2x}{3}\) , Manger(M) \(\frac{x}{4}\) and busboy(B) remaining amount which will be \(\frac{x}{12}\)
Now Given 1 W +1 B = 30
4W = \(\frac{2x}{3}\) , so 1W= \(\frac{2x}{12}\)
\(\frac{2x}{12}\) + \(\frac{1x}{12}\) = 30
You will get x= 120.
